OK, seems as if you and Paul have an issue with the z21 nodes. Make
sure you have your z21 listed in the binkd.cfg under ADDRESS.

Also,
one other thing. In the cfg, where you have DOMAIN and the path to the folders... I tihnk I sent you over one with all "1's" at the end.
Change that to "3" less quotes and delete OUTBOUND.003. Your regular outbound will now be for Z3 and a new OUTBOUND.001 will be created.
Okay I changed them from outbound 1 to outbound 3

OK... seems as if this connection worked. When it created the
fidoin.now file, did sbbsecho toss the pkt? Look at your sbbsecho.log file to see. Compare date/time.
Yes it does toss the packet which is good
I am assuming you got the binkd.txt file for the list of nodes?
well yes an old one that I added my address in but will ask rob to
send me one weekly
If not, let me know and I
will.
Okay will do
at this point fidonet 1:340/400 in now working okay sending and
receiving which is good.
but just having trouble with fsxnet + with all other add address.
fsxnet used 24556 port
when I run the binkp what command do I use
binkd -c binkd.cfg (client only)
or
binkd -c binkd.cfg (run server)

Okay I changed them from outbound 1 to outbound 3
Great. You should now have the following "outbound" folders..
OUTBOUND yes
OUTBOUND.001 yes
OUTBOUND.002 no <-- will be made when you have netmail for z2 OUTBOUND.004 no <-- will be made when you have netmail for z4 OUTBOUND.015 yes
OUTBOUND.13c no <-- will be made when you uncomment z316 for echomail OUTBOUND.00A yes
That should do it. Now when you reboot it will start automatically and when the CFG file chages for any reason, it will update automatically.
Okay cool, that's a good idea

22 Mar 16 19:08, you wrote to Sneaky:
5 setup 2 other node to poll
when mail is tossed by sbbsecho, it creates a *.*LO file and puts it
in the correct outbound folder. Binkd will see this file and poll. If
you want to create a timed poll to get mail then use sbbs timed event
and create a batchfile to move a zero byte file to the correct
outbound folder. You'll need a txt editor and name the blank file: 01540190.CLO Move it using the /y switch to your OUTBOUND.001 folder.
better to use touch or at least check first if the file already exists before copying it to the outbound directory... you don't want to
overwrite an existing file that may contain valid not yet sent mail...
a touch utility would be best as it creates the file if it doesn't
exist otherwise it updates the timedate stamp of the file if it does exist...
