I remember when Fidonews used to have real good articles. Maybe we could advertise BBS software and utilities that is recently released to help bringforth interest in various software products.

Eg: new release of a qwk reader or a telnet fossil driver.

ANd I will. If any major utilities are released I should do my best to submit it so FIdonews could become special again.

    Hello Matt,

I remember when Fidonews used to have real good articles.

Great idea! Let's submit some articles! The more the merrier!

Maybe we could advertise BBS software and utilities that is recently released to help bringforth interest in various software products.

Write some reviews of BBS software and utilities. Another great idea
of yours. Looking forward to your first review in the next issue.

Eg: new release of a qwk reader or a telnet fossil driver.

Multiple articles would be even better! I really do like your ideas!
But hey. Talk is cheap. Time for you to take up your cyberpen. And for
us all to do the same.

    The troll says what?

Trolls are the lifeblood of Fidonet.

As you know, trolls do not explode when exposed to sunlight.
That problem was solved, long ago, when a Swedish troll invented
a Special "S" BBQ Sauce, which is good on anything and everything.
Here is the recipe, translated into English -

    1 cup ketchup
    3 Tablespoons honey or molasses
    1 Tablespoon lemon juice
    1 Tablespoon semen
    Dash of hot pepper sauce

Apply liberally on whatever you feel like cooking.
Also works great as an addition to pork & beans.

If you lack the patience for recipes, try taking shots of semen.
Call them whatever you want. Galliano Cum Shots would be good.

Cajun Cum Shots is an original. Not found in any cookbooks that I

on Bayou Lafourche. Lots of shrimp to be had in those parts.

It would execute ("Go") the 8086/88 instructions at address C800:5, which was usually located in the firmware (embedded software) of a Western Digital compatible hard disk controller. What that firmware did (e.g. maybe low-level format a ST506 drive), was up to the company and programmers that provided that firmware, so it wasn't always consistent, but yeah, that's how you'd get into (jump-to or execute) the firmware in the first place.
