    Hello All,

Last night the hard drive of my fidonet system crashed. I will be off-line until I find a way to recover. I have no idea hoe long this will take.

    Cheers, Michiel

Is this still a thing? If so, I may as well remove him as a link since it constantly tries to poll his system, and this was almost 2 months ago.

Also, should we setup new links for UTF-8 and IPv6 so there's still a slim chance mail may still flow through those? Or was everyone linked directly to Michiel for those echos?

    Regards,
    Nick

... Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

47 days old mail on hold here for him... You may read his posting in the nodelist-police echo.

We have a working link for those echos. The Fidoweb works fine without one node. :)

The future for his system is still unknown, so it's your call...

I've multiple links for both areas, so if there are posts they will flow through the net, the fidoweb will take care of this. ;-)
    But nobody is posting there...

    Bye, Wilfred.

The UTF8 file-echoes originate here and the Fidoweb saves the day.

I don't know of any posting in that echo. If it was an update to the status of his system, forwarding it here may be a good idea as well.

Also, should we setup new links for UTF-8 and IPv6 so there's still a

I realized that after I wrote the message. I know I linked to him first for UTF-8 when he first started it. I didn't remember if that was before or after the whole Fidoweb thing. Looks like we're OK there, anyways.

I was just asking because usually it doesn't take upwards of 2 months to get a new hard drive (super cheap these days) and install Golded and FMail (or whatever he was using). If the interest is lost, or you're just going to continue being a point, just say so. Or are we trying rehash old stuff and setup a new "He will be back" episode? :)

No worries. I hadn't looked at my config before I posted. I also have multiple links to that echo.

At the time of my writing I had only remembered linking directly to Michiel for that echo when he started it. With that said, well done, Fidoweb!

He was pretty much the only one posting there so, with him away, the echo
is pretty dead. I can see where the confusion regarding whether or not
it was flowing would come from.
