Can anyone direct me to information about the inter-BBS data shared in FSX_DAT? Specifically I mean the ibbslastcall-data and InterBBS Oneliner messages.

I looked around a little bit, but didn't find details. If there are specs for the data format somewhere that would be great!

    Thanks!

Look for a file called xq-ilc*.zip, or something close to that.

It is written by xqtr for Mystic but it can work on other BBSs as well. Apam has written a similar tool for his BBS package in LUA.

The InterBBS oneliners have been around for years in different forms.

There is an MPL/Python tool for Mystic and Apam has also written an LUA version for his BBS package and ibolsbbs (ibolsbbs.zip) in java for Synchronet.

Apam and xqtr can both be found in fsxNet so if you have questions they are close by.

Have a look at those files and I'm sure that'll get you started at least. Those files can be found on Avon's BBS, Agency and I am sure many fsxNet connected BBSs.

it's rot47 encoded data, very simple, just decode one and you'll see that it's easily adaptable.

Thanks Al! I was sure the files would be around, but didn't know exactly what to look for - should be all set now.

ROT47? Nobody would ever guess that! :) I thought it might be base64 or some other encoding, but honestly I didn't even know ROT47 existed. Certainly expected something more complicated. ;)

    Thanks!
