  • Watcom 10.6

    Found a website which posts the old versions...as well as the new OpenWatcom
    2. Come to find out that Lora BBS source code will only compile because of
    some libraries in 10.6.

    No matter what I do...the program is telling me that 300 GB JFS/NTFS
    partitions don't have the almost 200 MB to install. Add to that...refuses to work with anything which doesn't have a CONFIG.SYS. The remedy
    this...attempted to install Windows 95 inside of DOSBox...only to end up with errors which can be remedied...if I want to spend the time to do so between work & sleeping.

    As soon as I can get it installed...can start compiling versions for DOS/Win32/OS/2 & (if they run)...will have them posted for download of the
    free version of LoraBBS 2.9.9.

    Those who are smarter/more knowledgeable than myself...any suggestions you might have?

    Found 2GBFix...along with a .SYS file you load into the CONFIG.SYS...v2gb.zip/2gbfixpa.zip. Nothing but a listing in Google for SPACE32.EXE.

    The board is at acmebbs.ddns.net:7788. Will be working with the 3 I found
    after I get home from work this evening around 7:30.

    HOT DOG! Tried both of them one at a time & got Watcom 10.6 installed...but when I kick up the IDE in OS/2...the program goes to a blank screen & takes
    me to the desktop.

    Just hope one of them will work for you.

    Found the v2gb worked the best. Put it in the MDOS folder...added the path to the CONFIG.SYS...rebooted. Watcom threw out a protest about space...but did install without stopping. Now...why it's not working...have no idea.

    Well you are close anyway. ;)
