  • Android Softmodem?

    Hey,

    Anyone knows if there is an app for android that is a terminal emulation
    and that also comes with a softmodem? i would like to testcall my bbs
    analog modem and see if it comes up with my bbs login after connecting.

    I use ConnectBot, works fine supports ANSI and does what I need it to do...

    Ok, thanks. thats a terminal only. i thought there could be a software
    modem to make calls to analog phone lines also. But i think the limited frequency band
    of mobile phones makes that impossible. i think thatswhy nobody made a softmodem for mobile yet :)

    well, i installed ConnectBot anyway.

    Actually, there was many years ago, I used a cell phone on a computer via the serial port to dial out to copper line BBS'. Can't for the life of me
    remember how it was done but I remember using a term program on the computer and it dialed out via the cell phone.. I know that is not what you are
    looking for but for some reason I remember that ... LOL
