Hey
Is anyone playing with the freeware proboard on github?
I think dan was at one point.. just wondering if there are any issues
with it?
I've got it setup just for fun on Win10 32 bit and it seems to be working ok, but it says my first call was in 1912. I was thinking about setting
it up with squish and irex... but don't want to invest too much time if
it won't play nice.

FWIW, on linux, syncrhonet user editor reports a very odd, pre-1980 date here, too.

At the time, I was playing with 2.17, which was the last one released
as freeware by the original author. I couldn't get the one from github
to compile, but there were also in the early stages of making changes
to it. I haven't tried it since...
I thought all of the date issues were already fixed in there... Maybe
not...
The biggest issue that I had heard from people, is it didn't add the
MSGID to outbound messages. Everything else seemed to work just fine.
:)
That's actually what I ran back in the day. Proboard with Intermail/Allfix/FMail.
I have ProBoard (my old BBS from the 90's) running at ScoobysDoo.ddns.net:2023 and upgraded to the latest freeware release.
Dates do seem to have an issue but everything else is working. I pull in USENET with Irex, so that's working too.
