  • open python iChat IRC client released

    Hiya all,

    I just release the first version of iChat IRC client. I was developing this client for a few months now and I noticed a lot of interest in these clients.

    So here we go, 100% configurable and optional sysop paging functionality included. Threaded non blocking design. Predefined IRC general InterBBS chat and Trivia channel. Build for clean interface, no overdose of colors or accents.

    Basic irc commands integrated like: /topic, /kick, /me (action) and /msg (private message). Any requests I will add to the client.

    Grab a copy on bbs.opicron.eu (ssh or telnet), or give it a spin there with
    the 'i' in main menu.

    Love it, Opi. I couldn't get it to run correctly - surely user error - and will have to catch up with you so I can help test. I have an idea about how to use with my other chat platforms.

    Also, SLACKERS BBS is doing some cool iRC stuff too... but don't think they fully coded a solution. Might want to let Gngrdr3nm4n see yer work.

    Just saw it and will jump on install - thanks... I mean I think the other one would've loaded Opi... I just didn't have time to dig in. Was trying to slap it up real quick - I was impressed by your code... looks really nice and I hope other ops check it out.
