Anyone have a MPL/MOD that will grab messages by the subject? I'd like to display some interBBS stuff on my bulletin board...

So... I don't know of exact mods that do this, BUT I think you might be able to get some good examples from XQTRs code; he does a lot of work with file areas, message areas and pulling data from such. Some of his mods might either... do something close to what yer hunting, or at least show you some code that could help you create such.

Furthermore, while its not MPL, XQTR has a good documentation file about MPY functions.

You know, if I jump back into MPL again I'm gonna do what I used to in the 90s and PRINT the docs out... both the MPL and XQTRs MPY docs - having a paper copy would be great, IMO.

Often, I'll copy/paste functions and other data that I'm working with in that particular MPL in a commented out section right in the .MPS file... so that I can glance down and see it right on the same document; but I know that spending $10 at KINKOS to get it on paper would be the easiest way.

Hope you do jump into doing stuff... right now, I'm loving MaxMouse's work @ HyperNODE BBS and Opicrons newest iChat from The Force BBS... the NightValut continues to suck me in, its loking really nice.

That's where I printed my MPL docs. The bastards charge double sided as 2 copies. I almost went to the counter and asked for the # of pages that I
didn't print on since they charged me for the paper. Gonna bite the bullet
and buy an ink cart. for my printer/scanner.

His newest work is iChat v0.8, an IRC interbbs chat option for Mystic and BBS softwarez.

I think iChat is pretty much done now. Very happy with the actual working implementation of away statuses now. Timed NAMES and WHOIS requests to
keep the name list in order.

Unfortunately time is scarce else I would have release the rJAM message
reader and vBASE (temp project name) file browser by now. Heavily influenced
by Xqtr!

If anybody wants to help me test and fix those where needed I would be very pleased =).
