Hey everyone.. to make a long story short.. I messed up my echomail and I started over with the group/bases in my config. Now, when I do an areafix rescan, it just ignores all the older messages because it thinks they are dupes.
Is there any way I can reover from this mishap?
You might want to remove echodupes.dat from the Mystic data directory --
I believe that's the one keeping track of what's a duplicate and not.
Another thing I noticed, is like this thread for example. If I load my origional message that was sent, the ']' option doesn't forward to your reply.
Any ideas?

time. Obviously I have 10's of thousands of messages. When I set the
'New Scan Date' it only updates about have the bases.... so there are still 10k+ new messages for me.

You'll need to run LinkMessages in mutil to get those linked back up.
./mutil -run LinkMessages
Will do the trick, but you'll want to run this semi-regularly. I have LinkMessages set to in my mailin.ini file
Hmm, did you answer "yes" to the "update last read pointer for allYes sir, I forget the name of it now as well.. but when I select a date I
bases" or something similar (don't remember the exact wording)?
Otherwise, try changing your scanned bases (Z) and selecting all, then
set the newscan date, then change back the newscan base setting to the bases you want, and see if it updates the newscan date correctly then...
Hmm, are you running the LinkMessages task with mutil?I wasn't, but I am now! =) That fixed up that issue!
That one is required for the "threading" to work, I think.

Guess I *really* need to take a beginners class.
Yes sir, I forget the name of it now as well.. but when I select a date I tell it to do all other bases as well. I just tried selecting all bases (they were already selected) with no change.
