• HTTP Downloading using Mystic

From paulie420@21:2/150 to All on Saturday, August 28, 2021 21:00:36
So.... SF, on FaceBook, said he is running some Linux scripts to accomplish the BBS-->HTTP downloads...

I saw Hyjinx ask recently if anyone had info about how to do such...

At 2o, I'm running a very basic WWW site [20ForBeers.com:1339] that directs to the BBS.

What I want is for users to be able to select HTTP/WWW in the protocol selection, as opposed to Zmodem, and get a link.. that, when clicked, downloads a file thats been copied over for the website to get.

I don't mind messaging SF and asking for any scripts or things he's using to accomplish this. And I do think that if we fly over to Bottomless Abyss and download via HTTP - it works....

So. I think some of us want this same feature... and how about we get ──it working with our softwarez.

I'm gonna write a msg to SF asking for info... and will post here. If you have any info about this, please post here too.

w00t w00t! This is our community - and we're gonna have this for our users shortly. If you have any info about how to move this along, please let us - that don't - in on the data. :P I'm stoked that 2o is gonna have these WWW downloads shortly...

Yeeeeee hawwwwwww, you Mystic-rockstar. :P Catch ya after we get it on all of our BBSes!

The featture is actually built into Mystic, as in, that's what it's
*supposed* to do, however methinks there's a bug somewhere. I want the exact same thing as you. I sent a mail to SF on Bottomless Abyss but he hasn't replied yet. I am pretty sure he said he's willing to release the source.

If he updates me first, I'll let you all know here...

    Cheers,
    Al
