Is filefix rescan a thing? Help file didn't show it and when I tried I got an error.

To my knowledge, no. And for an obvious reason, if you think about it: the hub may have terabytes of files in its index.

I believe %FREQ will let you request a specific file, if you know what you're looking for. For general curiosity, you'll find it easiest to join an older BBS and explore the file base from there.

I did exactly this on 20forbeers.com:1337

If I hadn't just downloaded directly from paulie420's BBS, I could then use the information I gleaned to do any %FREQ's I needed. Of course, that only works if the file is on the fsxNet file base. Many BBSes (including 20forbeers) have multiple file bases, so keep this in mind.

    What error did you get?

To my knowledge, no. And for an obvious reason, if you think about it: the hub may have terabytes of files in its index.

It (kinda) is - but no, you cannot use a wildcard (to get everything).

I believe %FREQ will let you request a specific file, if you know what you're looking for. For general curiosity, you'll find it
easiest to join an older BBS and explore the file base from there.

So with hpt, you can send a message of %HELP to filefix, and you'll get instructions on how to "resend" a file.

What I need to do (but havent got around to it, nor has there been any requirement) is post to the bot echo the new files on the hub. I should also enable a %FREQ that sends you a file list for all areas - then you can use the %RESEND command to resend what you want.
