If I have a file in some file area; file.zip...

I delete file.zip from mystic, and delete the file.

I put a new file.zip in that same file area directory, type in /U when in the file area, but file.zip isn't found...

Is there a way to 'fix' this? I host the mystic alpha archives in a File Area, and delete the last build and add the same file names of the new build - but Mystic doesn't see the 'new' files.

    Cheers all.

I wonder, have you run the 'pack file bases' function?

It may need this to clear the record from the database before another file called file.zip can be discovered.

Ahh - this is a good suggestion; one that I bet will solve my issue. I don't NORMALLY pack, and should probably think about doing so in my maintenance. I'll give that a spin, thanks for the suggestion.

If I remember correctly, the info about the file (from Mystic's perspective) isn't gone until you have run PackFileBases. So when you replace the file after deleting it, it may still be in Mystic's file index (as deleted) and isn't shown.

    Best regards

Awesome - this is the 2nd poster to mention this, and I don't often pack the bases. Appreciate the tip, as this was an issue I'd see every now and again b/c of the amount of files that go thru 2oFB. Thx Avon & Zip!

    You're very welcome!

The fact that a deleted file isn't really deleted messes up things -- I noticed this when trying out the upload virus scanning feature when I wanted to re-up files with the same filenames...
