Hi, sorry to sound so desperate there, but I have an important question about fsxNet. So Avon, I guess this is mainly a question for you but I'll take advice from anyone else in the network as well.

I have 2 message groups on my BBS. One is strictly for local users and the other is for fsxNet messages. I was wondering... Are the messages in the network only supposed to be for other people in the network or is it ok to allow these messages to be read and possibly replied to by my local BBS users?

I was thinking that I should NOT allow my local users to have access to fsxNet messaging, but maybe I am wrong. What should I do? I am still setting up message groups and I want to make sure I do it correctly.

... If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice

    Your BBS, your rules.

Yes, it is fine to give your users access to fsxNet or any network you have there.

A network would be useless if people can't read/write in them.

Ditto what the first Al said.. Your BBS your rules, I allow anyone that has been verified or given access to read and reply to all the networks I have on my system. The only one they can not post to is Fido if they have not used a real name or reasonable facsimile.

Your local users are welcome to and encouraged to post in fsxNet if they want to. There are echomail areas such as BOT posts, inter-bbs data, echomail stats and file announcements that should ideally be read only for your users as they would not need to post to those echos, but for all the others let them at them :)

As the other guys have mentioned, it's your system and ultimately your rules, but thanks for checking in, I hope this reply helps :)

fsxNet is the fun, simple, experimental network - I think its meant for all users to be able to post on. Go ahead, make my day.
