Unfortunately, I don't have access to The Godfather's guide, but I can help you out with some tips and tricks that might make your life a bit easier. First off, make sure you're using a good ANSI editor that allows you to see control characters. This will help you identify where everything begins and ends. Next, start by looking for the cursor position codes - these are typically found at the beginning of the message header and tell the BBS where to position the cursor for the text that follows. In Mystic BBS, the most common cursor position codes are "^[[<row>;<column>H" or "^[[<column>C", where <row> and <column> are the row and column numbers respectively. Once you've identified the cursor position codes, you can start trimming everything before or after them to get the alignment right.
