  • Banning of IP addresses

    To give some background, I've been plagued with "WB read socket" and "RB write socket" issues in my log files. I've been watching for a few months and it seams to be related to stretchoid.com addresses.

    After a search, I found a listing on github (https://github.com/SilvrrGIT/IP-Lists/blob/master/stretchoid
    # A firewall blacklist composed of Stretchoid scanners) of around 1100
    ip addresses associated with that site. It was posted as block listing for some firewalls.

    My questions are: 1) Is there a max limit to the number of entries in the denylist.txt and 2) is anyone familiar with this stretchoid.com?

    I'm not aware of any limit, no not familiar with stretchoid.com.
    You can you wildcard syntax in denylist.txt

    It's a pitty the IP's in that list are all over the place... It would be so easy to use a ipset hash:net to block em... #-(

    Using upset will work, but the list then is a mess... ^0<
