    While I'm rebuilding, I want to check my ini for importing mail

    Am I missing something or got something wrong?

    A couple of FTNs packets appear to toss, but I can't find the messages.

    [general]

    ImportEchoMail = true
    ; Toss packets from unsecure directory in addition to inbound?
    unsecure_dir = true

    ; Strip SEEN-BY lines from messages when importing?
    strip_seenby = false

    default_rescan = R=250

    ;forward = sysop;g00r00
    ;forward = system operator;g00r00
    ;forward = g00r00;James Coyle
    ;forward = James Coyle;James Coyle

    auto_create = true

    ; Convert filenames to lowercased 1=true
    lowercase_filename = 1

    ; true/false type values 0=false 1=true (newscan 2=forced)

    ; allow auto signatures in this base?
    use_autosig = 1
    ; use real names in this base?
    use_realname = 0
    ; kill kludge lines in this base?
    kill_kludge = 1
    ; base is part of new messages scan?
    new_scan = 1
    ; base is part of new messages scan for QWK network?
    qwk_scan = 1

    This looks ok.

    But I don't see:

    [ImportEchoMail]

    That should go just above everything else below. Not sure if you just didn't paste it in this message?

    You may also want to add loglevel=3 under [General] which would give you a little more information to go on in mystic/logs/mutil.log

    No I missed that. I'm piecing my ini files back together from what I find in the nessage areas that ARE tossing and the wiki.

    I need to find a better editor for that too. nano is a pain in the ass.

    It looks OK to me.

    A couple of FTNs packets appear to toss, but I can't find the messages.

    Have a look in the log and see if things are tossing in a good way. If you are looking at your logs it's a good idea to up the log level to 3. Sometimes that will show you stuff you wouldn't otherwise see.

    ;forward = sysop;g00r00

    I would add a forward for Sysop to your real name or alias. There are some Areafix's around still that reply to sysop and you will never see those replies unless your alias is sysop.

    Ttyl :-),

    I got it. For some reason, the 2 FTNs in question seem to have packet
    passwords set up. I didn't think I had those anywhere.

    So that's fixed. Now to get tic files tossing again. I put that off until I fixed the messages.

    Then figuring out the certificate thing cryptlib is looking for.
