    Hello everybody.

I am setting up SBBS v15 for the first time and am in the process of

Never heard of v15... are you sure you don't mean v3.15?

setting up Fidonet netmail. Im a bit confused between the way I used
to do it and the way SBBS wants to do it. Im used to using Goled and having Golded create a flag to get HPT to toss/pack it out. But with SBBSECHO , regardless of whether I author a netmail in SBBS in the
netmail area configured in SBBS or in Golded. SBBSECHO fails to see
the netmail let alone toss and pack it out. Im using BinkD as a
mailer. I am sure I am missing something simple.

I am pretty sure Synch uses a propriatary message base so I'm not sure HPT can handle the tossing/packing part. I don't run a FLO mailer here so which directory the netmail goes I'm unsure of. If you're using GoldEd to create a netmail then I can't see why Ssbbsecho even has to touch it. If I am in a hurry I use FD's editor to create netmail. Being I'm using *.MSG it gets saved directly to my netmail folder where a SEM is created to tell my mailer and off it goes.

Further, when I try to enter a netmail message in SBBS it asks to enter
    a nodes address as
n:nnn/nnn@fidonet. Which is ok. But if I were wanting to lets say send
    an areafix netmail
message using SBBS. There doesn't seem to be an option to address it correctly. As in:

    From: Jeff Smith 1:282/1031

    To: Areafix 1:nnn/nnnn

    Subject: <Password>

Within Synch's editor or any 3rd party editor while logged in, on the To: line, address it as such: areafix@1:nnn/nnnn

Sorry I couldn't help you much past that...

    Good luck.

    Bill

Actually, it's not technically propritary as the structures have been released, but I am not aware of any others using the SBBS message format.
