    Guess I should answer too!

I see the FTSC asssisting in stabilizing where we have confusion. One issue right now is MOB where it means 1 thing in Z2 (and in fact, may mean 2 in Z2) and another in Z1.

I like Alexey's answer on getting more techo into the FTSC but sadly, they are not running so we need to maintain what we have available.

On being zone aware, I feel I am the best but that doesnt mean I am the best for the FTSC coordinator as long as the new one understands there really are different needs, accepts, and works with them.

Although not an FTSC coordinator issue, did the other 2 catch that Z4 is having trouble gettting a segment out? Not sure but could be a code page issue with makenl. If so, it is an FTSC issue to assist if documentation was not clear.

    Hello Carol!

There should not be any code page issues with MakeNL. It is designed to enforce the specs of ASCII characters for nodelists. There is an optional toggle to allow 8-bit characters, but this does not make any attempt to interpret those characters. It simply supresses the default behavior of replacing them with question marks.

If the Zone 4 folks are having issues with MakeNL, have them contact me via netmail and I'll see what I can do.

The Z4 people are having issues, but not with MAKENL ...

Will do! I only suspect they have somethin odd in there. Ward has been working with it but as I do not see what was actually sent that was failing to process, I know little more. Best track is Flavio and i think the echo is FN Sysop.

    Itmay be something else.
