    Hi Michiel,

I have not seen any messages from you to me either in this echo nor via
PING. I don't think my system ever received your PING request. I am
pulling this echo via a direct connection with Andrew so I don't think there should be path problems receiving your messages via this echo.

Could you please try to PING my system again? Wilfred's proven it works ... just wondering if there's a path problem somewhere.

In the meantime your ping response has arrived with the following retun path:

The time stamp on the respons message was 9 june 21:27 -400. So it seems your system took some time.

Could you please try to PING my system again? Wilfred's proven it
works ... just wondering if there's a path problem somewhere.

I will do some more tests later today.

P.S. Don't ask about the LST in D'Bridge's time stamp. An astronomer would say it stands for "Local Siderial Time"...

    Cheers, Michiel

BTW, I also tested your TRACE functionality. It works. So you can add the TRACE flag to your listing.

    Or Local Summer Time?

But I can't find those latter two on the first google results page.

Local Siderial Time is the first link. Lunar Standard Time is another... ;)

    Bye, Wilfred.

    LOL Stupid Timezone.

    FTS-4009 tells us:

This field is *optional*, and must be a short, widely accepted
alphabetical abbreviation of the time zone that the time stamp
in the Via line pertains to.

The use of various Time Zone values is deprecated, implementations
should attempt to convert the timestamp in the control paragraph to
Universal Time (GMT or UTC) and use the "UTC" Time Zone indicator,
    where possible.

Fortunately the programmer of D'Bridge 4 is a member of the FTSC and is able to understand technical standards and
    is able fix it.

"a short, widely accepted alphabetical abbreviation of the time zone". That is some unambiguous wording ;).

Yes, I just dropped the time-zone field now.

    Indeed.

He has fixed it by leaving it out. Yes, FTS-4009 says it is optional. But it also says this:

The Time Zone field may only be omitted when it is not possible for
the implementation to determine the correct offset from UTC, and in
this case the time stamp must represent local time on the generating
    system.

I leave the conclusion to the reader...

    Cheers, Michiel
