I have yet to see a single nomination or any other names to be considered. Why?

    Best regards,
    Marc

    You are too impatient. :-)

Have you seen "Gone with the wind" ?

Then remember Scarlett O'Hara's final words ...

"After all, tomorrow is another day!"

We've got an excellent FTSC-administrator ... give him some leeway ...

Sorry, though that somehow I might have missed something either here or in NetMail. :-) ...I'll just bide my time 'till I see something.

There is a lot of politicking going on in the background concerning other candidates. There are attempts at building a "dream team" on the FTSC of people that certain others think would make the FTSC better but they do not have the required background needed to be on the FTSC. I decided to jump back in the ring because I care and don't have an agenda, unlike others on and off the FTSC.

What many fail to realize is that the FTSC is a group to document current standards and new technology as used by others, not a standards-creating board itself...though the FTSC seems to have a rather large backlog of proposals it has yet to vote on for some reason.

The FTSC is not the equivalent to the IEEE, ANSI, or ISO in Fidonet. It is equivalent to a secretary in a board meeting taking minutes and a minor blip on the radar of a rapidly diminishing group of people participating in an obsolete niche hobby yet some of us act like it's akin to running to be the president of the world. <G>

... The nice thing about standards is that there's so many to choose from.

They don't make movies like that anymore ... this past Sunday I went to the movies with my 30yr old daugher (was a father/daughter event) and during the previews of upcoming new releases I saw so much crap, scenes which were fully computer generated (not animated movies, but live-actor ones). I only appreciated that in Titanic with that fly-over in the really beginning, that was relevant ... but now? The general public is dumb and Hollywood cashes-in on that by serving them hambutgers while it could be steak.
