These three gentlemen come highly recommended. They will be an asset.
Recently the FTSC-administrator announced an election for FTSC
Standing Members and outlined the procedure in this conference. It mentions among other things how candidates can be nominated ...
********************************************************************** ******* Standing members may be nominated Fidonet-wide by the
following method:
3. A nominating committee established for the purpose by the ZCC. ********************************************************************** ******* To ensure a sufficient number of FTSC-members with proven technical background in Fido-software development, the ZCC has decided
to activate this option, to create such a nominating committee and
have it approach a number of people of whom it believes they could be
a valuable asset.
The ZCC decided as nominating committee upon Ward Dossche 2:292/854
(ZC2 and current IC), and Niels Joncheere, 2:292/789 (NC292, current developer of the ERRFLAGS-software).
The nominating committee got in touch with 8 potential members of the
FTSC to sound out their willingness and availability. 2 declined, 3
did not respond, 3 are willing to serve.
The nominating committee, in line with its mandate, nominates the following individuals as Standing Members of the FTSC:
* Rob Swindell
* James Coyle
* Tim Schattkowsky
Rob Swindell in the past already served a term. He is involved with
the hugely popular "Synchronet" software which is being used by many sysops. I even found video of him buried in the internet ... 8-)

James Coyle is a phenomenon in itself. He designed, developed and
tested on his own that other piece of very popular software called "Mystic" which is used by literally hundreds of sysops in Fidonet and
I don't know how many in other domains.
Tim Schattkowsky is a long-time Fidonet participant who at some time
"took a vacation" but rejoined a while ago and is very well known for
his WinPoint software which is a mainstay for points all over Fidonet
and probably beyond.
These three gentlemen come highly recommended. They will be an asset.

Acceptance of nominations by candidates:
Right after nomination - Sunday, 27 Feb 2022, 20:00 UTC
Candidates MUST accept by posting a message in FTSC_PUBLIC in order
to qualify, with the exception of self nominees. The message must originate from a node number that has the candidate listed as SysOp
in NODELIST.028 as issued by the candidate' ZC.
But I guess Ward Dossche the Great doesn't mind. He just puts Tim in the Nodelist and gives a fuck about previous rules, because his way is always better; for everyone. And I'm sure most of the RCs will kneel and lick the d shit of his boots.

I guess this is probably the best time to say.... I'm kidding, I just wanted to see what you'd do.
Oh, I laughed out loud. And I recognized immediately <huff> what <puff> you <huff> describing <puff> as <huff> reality <huff> in <puff> the <huff> mode <puff> workplace. <sigh>
We wish you THE most horrible, horrific, graphically violent death imaginable.

Three excellent candidates, indeed! Good luck to each of them!
