Hey Everyone, I'm not sure how active this place is but I thought I would say hi and see what happens. I was a WWIV kid in jr high and high school but I went off to college in the early 90s in a town that did not have an active BBS scene. I had no money for long distance phone calls so I was kinda out of it. In junior high I was a bit of a quiet loner but I had a '286 with a modem so I used that to communicate. I met some good freinds, got few dates, and built an alternative high school social life on BBSs. BBSs were the original social media and I still think they were the best. Just friendly (usually) sysops and users chatting, sharing files (mostly legal), and playing games. I see that this BBS has Tradewars. I don't think I ever won a game but I always had a lot of fun playing. Maybe I will be better now that I am a little older.
Cheers everyone!

Re: Hi EveryoneTo be honest, I still use things like forums much more often, than any of te social media stuff. I just find it much more clear and readable. If you want a really nice forum, just go to omnimaga.org. It's a forum fr progaramming and calculator enthusiasts.
