...I still *love* that song! ;-) In fact, it's probably
still one of my favourite songs of the sixties.
Bet you didn't know she did stuff in French too. She was quite
a hit here in Quebec way back when.
Actually yeah, I did know that. I seem to recall that she married
a Frenchman and moved to France back in the late '60s or early '70s,
and that she had a number of hits there, too.
I'll have to dig through my 45 case and see what moldy oldies I have
in there. Probably all in pretty poor condition as I used to carry
them around to parties where they got played on all sorts of
terrible phonos.
Yeah, that was the case with a lot of mine, too. Most of those badly
worn ones are gone now, but I kept a small box of favourites that are
still in pretty decent condition.
just bought myself a "vintage" Gibson Falcon amp. Single 12" speaker
with 2 6BQ5 tubes. Reverb and tremolo. Haven't had a chance to really "wring" it out yet. First shot at it it sounded pretty good. Needs a little cleaning up.
Cool. I'm really not all that familiar with guitar amps and I don't
know that model. I need an amp though, and I'm currently keeping my
eyes on the local Buy & Sell papers for something along those lines
(i.e. tubes, single 10" or 12", reverb, etc.).
