  • Gibson in trouble with the feds?

    Hello all!


    Did anybody else note the story lately regarding Gibson
    guitars and a federal investigation into their sources of
    ebony?

    IF you want that LEs Paul, that 335 or that Flying V better
    get it <g>.

    the only thing i found, other than sales stuff, was on The Tennessean... i'd post the link but it is rather long and i'd have to type it from the other screen...

    IF you want that LEs Paul, that 335 or that Flying V better
    get it <g>.

    it might be too late unless you get one that's already out there... but i'd be wary of those, too... especially when i'm also seeing reports of folks on ebay and the like selling hundreds of gibsons with their location being in asia...

    I relate. There was a piece in this morning's MEmphis
    Commercial Appeal. Probably same source.

    OH yeah you can bet there's already people rebadging copies, and there were lots of copies of the majors. Had an Electra bass that was a damned nice Fender precision knockoff back
    in the '80's.
