    Brother Duane to play that great gig in the sky. :-(

    After that is was dregs until Warren Haynes joined them.

    Who is Warren Haynes and what does he play?

    Now they're back to being dregs again.

    I don't think I've heard more than a couple of tracks by them
    since the late 1970s.

    Who is Warren Haynes and what does he play?

    He is one of the best bottleneck players you will ever hear. It's almost like hearing the ghost of Duane. First time I heard a cut off the CD "In the Beginning" I thought it was an unreleased track of Duane's. Unfortunetly he left the Brothers to play with his own band Govt. Mule. I find them uninspiring to say the least. Now they've kicked Dickie out of the band, and my response is not to bother with them anymore. But try to hear one of their albums with Warren on it, they are superb.
