From Nick Gasper@1:396/65 to All Hams... on Monday, August 07, 2000 02:27:46
Hi Name here is Nick Ham call is N5EQO
QTH is Metairie, LA near New Orleans LA
I have been running the Packet Radio BBS here on 145.010 @ 1200 baud
    and also on 443.100 @ 9600 baud
We now have a problem ... I have for the 2 years or so been using
the Telnet system thru the Greater New Orleans Free Net
Now as of Aug.31 they are going to cut out the GNOFN.
So I am going to lose my source of getting messages and
reposting them to my Packet BBS. I forward to WB5NET in Hammond, LA
Also to W5KSI who then in turn forwards most of them out to the
    World using Pactor system.
What I am looking for is someone or perhaps more of you who can
repost them here to me. I will downlod them for the BBS here
We have about 15 users on Packet including a few even into Picayune MS
    and MC Comb MS.
I hate to see the Packet Radio system die here in our area.
Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated...
    73 Nick N5EQO

I'm not clear on what messages you need. My BBS has Telnet, and
you could certainly get traffic via QWK bundle from here. And,
I have a friend in town who's run a packet BBS for years, KA1RCI.

Give me some details on what you need..

You'll have to read the echo rules and ask the moderator.
This is an international echo spreading across the globe.

If you have access to internet, try telnet to BBS.FONIX.ORG It is
in Britain. There is no charge to people not living in Britain who
use it for getting and posting mail packages. When you are set up,
you can also access the mail via their web page on the internet.

    All the best.
