Title: Broccoli, Beef & Tater Tot Hotdish
    Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Potatoes, Cheese
    Yield: 8 Servings

    1 1/2 lb Broccoli; in 1" florets
    2 tb Oil; divided
    1 1/2 lb 95% lean ground beef
    1 lg Onion; chopped
    2 tb Worcestershire sauce
    1 ts Garlic powder
    1 1/4 ts Salt; divided
    4 c Milk
    1/3 c Cornstarch
    2 c Shredded sharp Cheddar
    - cheese
    1/4 ts Ground turmeric
    4 c Frozen tater tots
    1/2 ts Ground pepper
    Cooking spray

    Set oven @ 450ºF/232ºC.

Toss broccoli with 1 tablespoon oil on a baking sheet.
Roast, stirring once halfway through, until just soft
and browned in spots, about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil in a
large skillet over medium heat. Add beef and onion and
cook, breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon, until
the beef is browned and the onion is softened, 10 to 12
minutes. Stir in Worcestershire, garlic powder and 1/4
    teaspoon salt.

Whisk milk and cornstarch in a large saucepan. Bring to
a boil over medium-high heat, whisking often, until
bubbling and thickened enough to coat the back of a
spoon, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in
shredded Cheddar cheese, 3/4 teaspoon salt and turmeric
    until the cheese is melted.

Spread the beef mixture in a 9-by-13-inch (or similar
3-quart) baking dish. Top with the broccoli and pour the
cheese sauce evenly over the top. Sprinkle with veggie
(or tater) tots, pepper and the remaining 1/4 teaspoon
salt. Coat the tots with cooking spray.

Bake the casserole until it is bubbling and the tots are
beginning to brown, about 40 minutes. Let stand for 10
    minutes before serving.

TO MAKE AHEAD: Prepare through Step 5; refrigerate for
up to 1 day or freeze for up to 1 month (thaw in the
refrigerator for 2 days before baking). Let stand at
room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.

Here's a short recipe for making air fryer tater tots:

    Ingredients:

    Frozen tater tots
    Cooking spray (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
    2. Place the desired amount of frozen tater tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook them in batches if you have a large quantity.
    3. If desired, lightly coat the tater tots with cooking spray. This can help them become crispier during cooking.
    4. Cook the tater tots in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the tater tots halfway through to ensure even cooking. The exact time can vary based on the size and brand of your air fryer, so keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
    5. Once the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.

I do sweet-tater tots in the air fryer or the deep fryer interchangeably. I like 'em with my breakfast bacon and eggs ..... assuming I have some in the freezer, ready-to-cook. Otherwise they're a nice side with a big ol' cheeseburger.

Welcome to Home Cooking. Nice to see I'm not just "shouting down a well."

    Title: Air-Fried Sweet Potato Tots
    Categories: Five, Potatoes, Chilies
    Yield: 4 Servings

2 sm Sweet potatoes; peeled (14
    - oz. total)
    1 tb Potato starch
    1/2 ts Garlic granules
    2 ts Creole seasoning *
1 1/4 ts Kosher salt; divided
    3/4 c Red Gold Sriracha Ketchup;
    - opt (see notes)
    Nonstick cooking spray

    * Tony Chachere's (green can) or Louisiana Fish Fry
    (orange can).

Bring a medium pot of water to a boil over high heat.
Add potatoes, and cook until just fork tender, about 15
minutes. Transfer potatoes to a plate to cool, about 15
    minutes.

Working over a medium bowl, grate potatoes using the
large holes of a box grater. Gently toss with potato
starch, garlic powder and 1 teaspoon salt. Shape mixture
    into about 24 (1") tot-shaped cylinders.

Lightly coat air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place
1/2 of tots (about 12) in single layer in the basket,
and spray with cooking spray. Cook @ 400|F/205|C until
lightly browned, 12 to 14 minutes, turning tots halfway
through cook time. Remove from fry basket and sprinkle
with 1/8 teaspoon salt. Repeat with remaining tots and
    salt. Serve immediately with ketchup.

UDD NOTES: The first time I made this I made it to the
exact recipe. The second time I added the Creole dust
for spice and subbed the Heinz ketchup with the Red
    Gold Sriracha Ketchup.
