From Bill Gordon@1:3634/22 to All on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 20:08:33
    Hello All.

I just noticed that my IREX is resetting itself over and over. It says "Rex is waiting for the config files to be unlocked..."

What's that all about, and how do I stop it?

    Thanks

    Bill

If you don't have any IREX or REXCFG tasks open on the system, delete *.0 from the IREX semaphore directory.

Have you rebooted? I haven't run IREX in years, but I run into problems all
the time with Windoex XP where a program exits but doesn't let go of a
file. A reboot clears that up every time.

When you close the rexcfg file, it should erase a file that Rex writes to itself. Apparently it didn't, which is something that happens.

Look in the IREX echo where you keep your files and delete any files with
    a *.0 extension; especially rexbusy.0
