• Re: IREX -> Platinum Express -> Poll Schedule

    * An ongoing debate between Allen Prunty and rages on ...

I would like to schedule my Irex to do an outbound poll every two
    hours.
It runs but makes no attempt to dial out... what am I doing wrong.

You might try putting the domain on the IBN in the nodelist (vice INA) for 1:123/500, assuming your calling out on Binkp {shrug} ... also, my route.rex uses n:* format for zones vice n* (add a colon).

    rexw.exe -fs b 1:275/91

Tried it... all that does is run the between.bat

For my Evebt manger to poll in a timed event i have...
    [] Event manager
    Tag Days Start Next Command
    A All 00:01 03:00 -send -fetch -trim

That will poll all config nodes on system every 3 hours.

I have the following in my ROUTE.REX in my Irex directory.

    route-to 1:123/500 1* 2* 3* 4*
    except 1:116/*
    route-to 1:116/18 1:116/*
    except 1:120/*
    except 1:11/*
    route-to 1:120/544 1:120/* 1:11/*

Your routing is set up in the wrong place. Netmail routing should be
set up in PXConfig and not in Internet Rex.

Allen, best to use '-s -f' in the poll event to make sure everyone
listed in your Internet Rex nodebook is polled at the same interval.

No, you don't. It's set up incorrectly if you leave it that way.

but you really should fix the first route-to...

    route-to 1:123/500 1:* 2:* 3:* 4:*

depending on the coding, without the colons could result in 11:bl/ah, 23:bl/ah,
37:bl/ah and 49:bl/ah along with other 3+ digit zones starting with 1, 2, 3 or 4 to all be misrouted to 1:123/500...
