Note that I can't take a look at this directly because ifmail is
currently erroring out on Debian systems....
I'm using ifmail on Debian etch. Which kind of error do you have? You're
the 3rd that says that ifmail causes errors.
Personally, I did apt-get install ifmail ifcico ifgate and I've everything
up and running, without any particular error.

Are you using ifcico? I primarily use BinkD for those applications
that don't have their own mailer. Didn't really see the problem myself
until I ran ifcico manually to do some test connects to another systems...
