I have tried to get tinytic to work properly, and I really wish I could,
but there seems to be two problems with it. First, if the tic isn't in uppercase then it won't see it and second, if the tic is in uppercase then
it will say that it can't find the tinytic cfg.
Anyone know if tinytic is still being supported?
I don't know if anyone else is doing anything with it but it has been added to the FTN Apps project at SourceForge [1] and I've been planning to work on packaging it for Debian/Ubuntu...

You might want to test that before you put all the work in. Seems that
it worked fine under the 2.4 kernel, but it doesn't parse paths properly
in 2.6, so essentially it's broke.
I eneded up running the dos version in dosemu and it works great.
I'll admit that I haven't looked at the code or the operation of it as yet but I'll be doing that as part of the packaging effort in any case;
and I can contact the author about things I run across in the code...
And, of course, the reason I put it in the FTN Apps project was to be sure to make it available so that others can work on it...<g>

I'd be more than glad to fix the problem in the code if I had it.

In case you had not already heard: The author commited an update to the TinyTIC repository for a version v0.6.1 (rev. 60, viewable at [1]), which
is going to be undergoing some testing before making a release out of it...

Is this ready for distribution now?
I see v0.6.1 at sourceforge..
I'd like to get it out when ready also via the Utillnx FDN since
previous tinytic versions went through the FileGate..

Not that I'm aware of; I'll be contacting him about results of the
testing. (I haven't had a chance to do any testing of it myself.)
If it's still beting tested, I could ask him what he thinks about distributing the current code as a beta release or something like that...

Yes, but just in the SVN repository, so far...

I also think it should go out that way.

TinyTIC v0.6.1 has been released and is available for download as
tt061s.zip from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ftnapps/files/tinytic/.
It's also availalble for FREQ here at my system.

Are you going to hatch it out? (I'm not connected that way to the
file echo, where I could do it...)
toward one of the PDN areas right now since I know there's source
code included.

Yes, I'll hatch it :) Had a few things to take care of the last few
days.. should get it out tonight or tomorrow. I'll check out the distro information to see what fdn it fits best in.

Thought you'd intended it for Utillnx, since it went out that way
before?

It's source code only, at this point...
