I'm stuck in the process of attempting to install syncterm on Linux. I have
the source code from sourceforge, but I don't find the usual configure and
make files. I'd greatly appreciate any pointers on how I might build and install the syncterm source code. I'm using Slackware 14.1 x86-64 3.10.17 kernel.

I don't run Synchronet, but I've seen extensive info on Rob's site at http://www.synchro.net/

Actually I'm trying to install the syncterm BBS client, not SyncrhoNet BBS.
I did find the BBS client software at the line below which does much of what I want, but it's oriented to Chinese BBSes. It doesn't get the graphics quite right, but it has Zmodem.

Where do you think folks discuss syncterm? I see several hits in some of the sync* echos.

Maybe someone reading this echo can help you and I hope they can... but this echo hasn't been very active in a long while.

Janis is right. Being Syncterm is a product of the author of Synchronet, you can get help in that echo. If not, try here..
