Hello guys, does anyone know how to copy and paste with Linux+SyncTERM+Mystic? Thanks.

I'm not sure, honestly, and it's one of the major reasons I use NetRunner instead.

When you enter the BBS doman, just add a :## where ## is the port.

Ex: mybbs.com:2323 will use port 2323. The only distinction is that if it's actually an SSH port, make sure you designate it as such, and then enter in a bogus username and password in the phonebook.

Hello guys, does anyone know how to copy and paste with Linux+SyncTERM+Mystic? Thanks.

In SyncTERM, selecting the text with the mouse copies it into the clipboard. Right-clicking the mouse button pastes the text.

it does not highlight/copy anything.... maybe a mystic problem?

Hello guys, does anyone know how to copy and paste with Linux+SyncTERM+Mystic? Thanks.

    Theres an ANSI code that sysops can pass to SyncTERM users which sets mouse support, but most sysops don't pass that code. Here are a few tricks to get copy/paste working on stock [or unmodified] Mystic BBSes;

Press Alt+B to enter scrollback mode. When in scrollback mode, you'll notice that selecting text using the mouse now shows a blue background - any text you select is copied like normal.

To paste, make sure you're out of scrollback mode [Press Esc] and to paste
    type Shift+Insert.

    Does that help out? :P

That's a good point: if the server/BBS has enabled mouse reporting in the client (SyncTERM), then the mouse can no longer be used for copy/paste operations. Using scrollback (Alt+B) is an effective work around if you can't disable the mouse support on the server/BBS side.

Trust me, theres plenty of us Mystic ops who still value SyncTERM and figure out all the ins and outs of how to make best use of it. :P

I wish there were m0re options that supported both ANSI, RIP, C= and other emulations... SyncTERM is by far the most complete set of features in any [bbS] terminal soft. :P

I recommend using tmux. I think this works on screen, too. Running SyncTERM
in curses mode (syncterm -iC), go into tmux copy mode (^b-[). You can then
copy anything you want either from the current page being displayed or from syncterm's scrollback.

Oh, that does mean running syncterm from a console, obviously.

Press ALT-B to scroll back then you can copy. Highlighted text is
automatically copied to the buffer. Press escape to exit from
scrollback. Ctrl V or Shift-Insert should paste.
