who is running it? ;-) I'd even settle for the best effen LORD game.

Ahhh Never mind. It's probably hitting right square in the face and I

Are you talking about an InterBBS lord game? There's a few of them out there. I run one here in Agoranet/League 46, while Lord Time/Robert Starr runs one in League 10, and Scinet/League 77 has one going. I'm sure there are a few more out there as well.

As far as the "best", all of them are what the users/players make of it, really. Check 'em all out, and pick which one you like the most. Some games have been running for a long time without a reset, some have regular resets, etc. It's all in what you're looking for.

Hi Nicholas... I apologize.. I was just being sarcastic as it seems the
only post for the most part in this echo is for the best ephen lord
game. I was just playing a little with that. Sorry to have actually
caused somebody to stir. I was just having some fun. But thanks for the sincerity of Your reply.

If his BBS carries LORD, then it's legitimate content to the echo, IMO. Otherwise it would be just another dead echo.

I got it. It sucks that noone converses here anymore, but with the current developer on a year or more hiatus from the project, there's really nothing to talk about.

Luckily there's still quite a few people still playing it.

I personally don't like 4.07+ because of the color changes and numerous spelling errors. I run a IBBS game with 4.06, and then run 4.06, 4.07, and 4.08 locally in case anyone wants to try them.

Your miles may vary on that though.

I don't play myself, but I have had users that do not like the 4.07. It
is the new style where You need a certain level to buy new armor or
weapons. They don't seem to like that too much. I find they play the
older version more. I dunno. I think I am running older version 4.0
Seems to be stable, but not sure if it is the most stable of the old
    versions.

I myself am not much of a gamer at all. However, You do bring back
memories as to when I first started BBS'ing, I got addicted for a while
to Solar Realms. A lot of people were playing that back in the day and I remember I liked to get on as early as I could to try and win the
lottery etc. and play my turns. I used to get up at 4:30am and that made
it easy. First thing I'd do is pop on to a couple sre games to wake up.
LORD came later on, but I found I just was not into the games in general
    after a short while.

I am really happy that LORD was around. I had someone introduce me to that when I was in the BBS scene in Guam in 1995 and have been hooked ever since. It
is just a good game to play a little and make a lot of progress. Doesn't
take anything to maintan, and if you want to go whole hog there are a ton of things you can do in LORD. Just awesome.

Anyway, not really into any other games. I played Trader Wars a bit, and some Food Fight, and on one BBS a game called Wild West. But that was really about it.

LORD will go down in bbs history as one of the best I would think. It
was just perfect to get You addicted and keep You busy without taking a
    huge amount of time.

The first game I was ever addicted to was, solar realms elite. I
remember I would call up several boards every morning at around 5 am
    before going to work.

Anyway, not really into any other games. I played Trader Wars a bit, and

I could never get into trade wars, playing it manually. It just took too
    long.

To each his own. Others that were popular, I did not care for myself,
but others did. Some had their moment of Fame, like The Pit, Land of Devastation, TWars etc. Scrabble oddly enough on my system has been the
    one that was always consistent.
