From John Kelly@1:3634/23 to All on Friday, June 01, 2012 10:20:00

I got the MBSE source from the hg repo, compiled it, and setup the first
user. I see some html docs, but no howto guides. Anyone have pointers
    to more docs?

MBSE appears to be the last hope for a decent open source BBS. Are many
    sysops using it?

What's the state of development? Still active? Or is it so mature that further development is not needed?

It's still developed. Just be sure you check the website for any
updates :) Also, if you don't want to use MBSE, there are other open source/free BBS packages available for Linux. Enthral and Mystic are
    two of those.

There are one or two others but this one has been on constant usage for over ten years under linux
platforms and yes, quite a few.

It is still under development but as it is mature not a lot happens these days unless someone finds
a bug which has thankfully become somewhat rare.
