I sometimes tinker with MBSE. It's an open source alternative, and it's
good to have more than one skill.

But I wonder when facebook will provide a text mode interface.

I doubt they ever will (unless you use Lynx, of course *smiles*).

Judging by the traffic in here I would not hold your breath.
.... and no not me I find facebook a royal pain !!

Too many people wanting to be added as friends that I have never heard of or for that matter wish to.

It isn't too much different from Fidonet. People who like or don't like
each other write and fight to eachother, just like in echomail. But in
Facebook you can more easy block certain figures. In fact there are a lot of things that are born in the bbs world but are more mature then the bbs
    systems ever will be.

The interface is ugly, some settings are hard to find, but it can do alot.

It is in fact fidonet version 2, including pictures and movies.

    gtx,Michiel.

I always prefrred not knowing what a person looked like. if they really irratated me, I would imagine them as the world's biggest snoot face. As always, it is comforting to realize later how wrong I am. In most cases, I discover they actually appear quite normal. Facebook just ruins the surprise!!

At first I used a 40 years old picture, but it was still me in black and
white. Well, ruined surprise or not, it's some form of progress with a whole new kind of disadvantages and advantages, just like fight-o-net.
