• Changing a file tic area to passthru

From Vince Coen@2:250/1 to All on Sunday, March 05, 2017 12:42:24
    Hello All!

According to the docs for File tic area set up .4 setting 0 will mark area as passthru only BUT it will not accept zero, at least on an existing area.

Want to do so on Daily nodelists that I have no use for (cannot see the point of them) but need to get them for downlinks.

Is this a bug introduced since 0.93/6 ?

I don't think Michiel ever truly implemented passthru areas. I looked back at the mbsetup code, and it doesn't appear that it ever allowed changing an existing area to BBS area 0.

Set the area to only keep 1 file. That should minimize the amount of space consumed on your system.

No, I don't think it is.
