Hello I am an American High school student Currently I have an Independent Study in the subject of British Comedy. For the final project I plan on doing an in-depth PowerPoint presentation on Monty Python. I plan on following the progress of each member from their university days up to the present.

Although I have many of the resources I need for this project, there are still many projects from the Pre- and Post-Python days, which are unavailable (such as The Frost Report, The Complete and Utter History of Britain, Rutland Weekend
Television, Out of the Trees, Jake's Journey, etc.). In order to paint a full picture of all 6 members, if there is anywhere on the Internet where I could buy/download/view any of these projects or more.

    Thanks in advance

No, but to imcrease the educational value of what you are supposed to be doing you might try doing it yourself...

Sorry for the gramatical typo above

I have a majority of the material that I need fo the project, but but there are
some projects that the pythons did in their seperate careers that I am trying to get my hands on that are either looong out of print or never comercially availible in the first place. Within the powerpoint I plan to use the video or audio clips as examples of the python's work, because it looses the humour trying to describe a sketch it to the audience, who had never seen it before.

    Once again Thank You

Nice list. Apparently you found At last the 1948 show, Do not adjust your set, and How to irritate people, as well as Graham's College Tours and Yellowbeard.

There is a very good reason why you haven't found the items you want: most do not exist anymore or have never been available at all.

*The Frost Report was wiped, though there are some records of it. A few
things survive but in doubtful quality.

*Out of the trees was wiped, a short remaining fragment is on the Hitch
Hiker's Guide (1982 BBC series!) DVD. The script used to be online but SOMEONE felt it was unfair that people read a script without paying and had it removed so now no-one can read it.

*Jake's Journey was just this one pilot episode. As far as I know it is
on a shelf at CBS. SOMEONE was just too lazy to include it on the DVD as an extra with Graham's college tours. I tracked down an article about it that you can find here:
    http://www.geocities.com/montypythonmuseum/jj.html

It's a typical problem of things unavailable. You can go to CBS and ask for the
tape of Jake's Journey or go to the British Film Institute and ask for their telerecordings of but that is hardly a practical solution.

Thank you spiney. But I already know all of this. For many of these projects im
not looking for a full episode, just for instance "the class sketch" from the frost report, what exists from the peone sketch from out of the trees, or ill take any of eric's bits from RTW.

OK, if you already know all of this then why did you ask?

It is a good thing you aren't looking for full episodes because you will not find any.

But you can find the class sketch and Rutle Weekend bits if you try hard enough
    - I found them - and you can find the peony bit. I doubt you know all of this.

I really can't help you, but I must admit Evolutionism is right. There is a Progress, at least in school.
    :-)
When I was ehm younger.. the only independent study permitted was about Aristophanes (not bad guy he too, by the way)
