    Could it have been scenes which weren't in the official theatrical
    release but which were added for a television version later on? I have seen a few movies like "Blazing Saddles", "Amazon Women on the Moon", and "Charlie's Angels 2" where the TV version added some "new" scenes to replace others deleted for language or content.

    That's certainly is possible, and that sounds like what happened.

    I didn't see the film in the theater -- I rented it on VHS in the early 90s. So
    it probably had the scene that wasn't there later.
