• "Programme titles conference"

All the sites that I have visited so far re:-"Programme titles conference" show
exactly the same script published from one source. I'm looking for the original
unedited version that went to air on the ABC in Australia in the early seventies. My memory of that sketch is that it's longer and may involve more than one man in a wheelchair.
The conversation stretches after a man with an arrow through his head wheels in
and one of the producers says "I hate cripples...." with another producer rejecting THAT as a potential title, followed by a further comment of ".......I
hate cripples, especially ones with arrows through their heads....always going round looking for attention"...... with a response of ".....that's even longer".......etc. and "here comes another one.....", and so it goes on till the punchline.

    Regards,
    Louise.

The version shown is the official version as published in the book:- The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus: Just the Words (AKA: All the Words).

If you saw another version which was different from the listed version, then it
was not the "original", it would have been another version, possibly recorded at a later date from the UK original.

This would not be particularly unusual as many of the sketches were performed numerous times in various locations and often changed from performance to performance. Quite often there was a certain amount of ad-libbing going on too.

You may also be recalling an audio version that was done for one of the albums.
