listening to Grand Funk Railroad, Bachman Turner Overdrive etc... So, I dropped by FYE in nearby Santa Rosa and baught some of the older stuff - WOW! Talk about a flashback! It was awesome listening to some good old fashioned R&R again! Even my wife enjoyed it. Sure beats a lot of the pop
I have a few hundred vinyl LPs of great stuff... lots of art rock music
like YES, Emerson Lake and Palmer, King Crimson, all the Beatles albums, Pink Floyd, Cream, Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Woodstock, and so
on and so on. My daughters stole them all during moves like when I was divorced. They both have state of the art turntables now. My oldest is
now the director of Marketing at Warner Brother's Records in Burbank and
is sending me new vinyl that is coming out. Go figure!

I'll have to mention to Julie that you're a Yes fan. While we were down south over the New Years holiday, we met up with an old schoolmate of
hers who promptly put her on the phone with John Anderson. Was the highlight of her day! It helps that she grew up with his composer.
I love Jon Anderson! He was shafted by the band as he was in the
hospital with heart problems. They picked up a soundalike singer and
went on with the band. He does some nice standup solo gigs lately and he
is doing an album and tour with Jean Luc Ponty. They will be calling it
the Anderson-Ponty band and you can see snippits on You-Tube.
