Me neither. I've been revisiting my stash of purchased CDs.

I now find interesing and appealing.

Someone in another echo mentioned the music of Final Fantasy.
Never heard of it. It think it's the OST of a computer game or
something. The samples I tried remind me of Two Steps From
Hell, Gregorian, and Yanni (all of which I have some recordings
of). Some are interesting pieces and stand quite well enough
alone. Some of it can be good bkgrnd music to chill and relax.

One album that I find revisiting is Robert Cray's "Strong
    Persuader".

Jennifer Warned new release "The Well" is excellent.

I like the singer in the yellow top. I don't know what those
two ladies were singing about, but they clearly demonstrated
fine command of the voice and pitch.

I did not care too much for Anneke van Giersbergen - Jest Oldu
too much. That voice was a bit too screetchy for me.

You might also like the rock/commercial works of Sara
    Brightman.

Another fine Sara is Sara Bareilles. Check out her songs "She
Used to Be Mine", "Orpheus", and the duet with John Legend, "A
    Safe Place To Land".

They are all from the same TV show...

What is the premise of the show?

Who are the people seated in front and why are they important?

That must be an awesome studio with the live band and intimate
    setting.

I recall seeing an episode of this years ago on YT and the
featured singer was the then yet-unknown recent singer of
    Nightwish.

They are all singers. In each episode of the show, except the last one which is about duets, one of them is in the centre of attention, where the other singers, sing a song that they think has some meaning for the one in the midle point of that show...

There's also some great coverbands around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

And.. all of the above were in Texas?

Cheap Trick/Poison and Erasure were at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, near Dallas.
Howard Jones and Men Without Hats (forgot them) were at House of Blues in Dallas.

Phil Collins was in Houston, TX
    Genesis was in Charlotte, NC
Steve Hackett in Portland, OR and Northampton, MA. Next will be St Louis, MO Squeeze/Hall & Oates in Fort Worth, TX.
Mark Knopfler in Dallas, TX and Phoenix, AZ
A-ha and Pet Shop Boys/New Order will be in Los Angeles, CA
Adam Ant and OMD will be in Dallas

Oh, I first saw A-ha in Nottingham, UK back in the 90's and Genesis in Leeds and London in 1992. I also saw Dire Straits at Woburn Abbey around that time too. Also had Lyle Lovett and Was not Was for warm ups.

Jean Michel Jarre was at Radio City Music Hall, NY, Irving, TX, Houston, TX (front row), and Sa Jose, CA.

As for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I've tried to listen a few times but can't get into it, I'm afraid.

Acquired taste. That's some hardcore prog, however he puts on a great
show, especially if you're a Genesis fan craving some of the old music.
He recently finished a tour where he played the entire Selling England
by the Pound album. He's currently going Seconds Out and coming next
    year is Foxtrot.

Noted. Luba clearly wasn't the best challenge/comparison with
your Anneke. :( But I was primarily highlighting the
performers ability to deliver a piece with emotion. I thought
the melody was pretty darn good too.

Does you Anneke write music too? ..or is she just an
    interpretive singer?

I'll try to come up with alternative suggestions (comparing to
Anneke) ..a bit later. Meanwhile, check out Sarah Brightman's
    inter interpretations of:

    Dust in the Wind
    A Whiter Shade of Pale
    Captain Nemo
    Deliver Me

The musical arrangements are powerful (great drums and beats!)
    in some of them.

Brightman is clearly not a "rock" voice, but the recordings are
a pretty cool package as a whole.
