• Badmail

    From Ben Ritchey@1:393/68.8 to All on Sunday, August 05, 2018 13:11:05
    Hi All,

    Anyone have any success collecting badmail? I set up an echomail area and included the Base ID in the mutil.ini file, but nada, no dupes, etc.

    You're talking about dupe echomail?

    Mutil.Ini says it will collect dupes and "bad" mail (I assume like undefined areas, etc.), but yes!

    Mutil.Ini says it will collect dupes and "bad" mail (I assume like undefined areas, etc.), but yes!

    So you want to have the ini that imports echomail in to have something like this set

    [snip]

    ; If you want to save duplicated / bad messages to a certain message
    ; base, then set this value to the *INDEX* of the message base (viewable
    ; at the top of the msgbase editor). Otherwise, set this value to -1
    ; or leave it commented out and they will be ignored.

    dupe_msg_index = 32

    ; This defines the number of messages to keep in the duplicate database.
    ; Each message takes 8 bytes of data, so for example 32,000 messages takes
    ; 256kb of memory while importing messages. Max is 250,000 messages.

    dupe_db_size = 250000

    [snip]

    be sure to have them uncommented and set the correct message base index for
    the one you want to capture the dupes to... also make sure you set this
    message base to 'local' type not 'echomail'.

    Best, Paul
