In your .ini file look for this setting and make sure its set to the dupe message base you've created or comment it out if you dont want to save dupe messages somewhere.

; If you want to save duplicated / bad messages to a certain message
; base, then set this value to the *INDEX* of the message base (viewable
; at the top of the msgbase editor). Otherwise, set this value to -1
; or leave it commented out and they will be ignored.

    ; dupe_msg_index = 5

    Got it, I missed that in the ini file... Not sure if you saw my post about my event manager or not, it keeps changing on my networks to a duplicate of another so it would be like;

    fidopoll scinet
    fidopoll fsxnet
    fidopoll agoranet
    fidopoll fidonet

The if I restart or manually poll any of these it would change randomly to

    fidopoll scinet
    fidopoll scinet
    fidopoll agoranet
    fidopoll fsxnet

the network that gets replaced seems to be random but just today it has
    happed 3 or 4 times.

    Very strange!

Are you trying to edit events while the events (MIS) are running?

I just answered this on FIDO but get that Dupe base thing fixed up and then lets go from there. I suspect that has a lot or everything to do with your issues!

OK, I fixed the dup and did as you instructed I only edited the event monitor with the system shut down, so this morning when I found that it had done it again I shut down everything restarted the computer, corrected the events and restarted MIS. now as I am writing this here is whats still happening

If you have events that have the same unique ID for some reason then this
could happen. You can see the ID when you edit each event. If that is the case you need to remove the ones with the same ID and recreate them.

OK I currently have them all deleted, with just one remaining and I have been 12 hrs without a 255 code or other oddities. I will add them back in and
make sure that they have unique ID's...

As always thank you for your assistance.

    Rick
