Ok, I know this is not the support channel for netrunner. but... close enough.

HOw do i set the size of the window to be 80x25 (terminal size) and stay that way each time I open it? I have tried messing with the ini file. Havent
    gotten it.

I am on linux but it does it on widnows and linux. Its so annoying. I prefer
a smaller window - more terminal sized.

    Thanks,

    Sincerely,

NetRunner starts in 80x25. Are you using NetRunner from: http://www.mysticbbs.com/downloads/prealpha/

If its a different size you may have a NetRunner from like 10 years ago.

If you mean the size of the window, then you can set that in the .ini or
press ALT-F to set the various combinations, or use alt_enter to toggle scaling.

Im not sure where i got it from. I will get the latest. Mine always starts in
    a larger window.

    starts in a larger window.

You can press ALT-F and set it to "Standard Resolution CP437" and then use ALT+ENTER to resize it until its small. That is the smallest it will go on its own, which I think is a 640x400 pixel window. Experiment with the standard/upscaled fonts and window sizes and then when you find a combination that you like you can set it as the default in netrunner.ini.

You can also set it to use "anisotropic filtering" and then drag the corner of the window to whatever size you want. You can make it the size of a postage stamp if you wanted to (but you'll want to make sure you have filtering enabled otherwise it will look really crappy if resized to something that isn't an integer scale of a DOS screen resolution).

It can run smaller than anything else I've seen (the postage stamp wasn't an exaggeration lol).

This worked. Mine always started as a 640x400 size window and was WAYYY too big. Ill have to figure out the ini file.

On another note, check out my mbb utility. I wrote it specifically for

Hey G00R00, I have no idea what's going on, but I can't get Netrunner
Terminal to work on my laptop. I downloaded the latest version from the website, works great on my desktop, but when I try to run it on my laptop it crashes saying "Unable to initialize video". Both machines are running the
same version of Ubuntu (20.04) and I've already made sure that the laptop is running the latest libsdl2. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Netrunner is a desktop app that depends on SDL2. It's a great app on the desktop but it won't run from a terminal, it has to be run from the desktop, xorg and friends.

If you want a telnet app for the terminal I find nodespy is great. Just run nodespy and hit the space bar.

if one is on a KDE system, they can simply open Konsole and use telnet directly from there... zmodem transfers work, too... i use telnet and ssh from Konsole without any problems 99% of the time...

I'm very happy with xfce. I was very happy with KDE3 years ago and went to xfce when KDE4 became so eye candyish.

Newer versions of xfce seem to be more eye candyish! Maybe I'll start using openbox. :)
