I just tried out the Download via WEB option via the MIS HTTP server, but after getting the URL from Mystic (http://scbbs.nsupdate.info:50080/dlreq?764aaef6) and visiting it, all I get is a web page with two empty lines, a "1", and another empty line on it.

Do you have a www directory in your webroot?
Do you have a www directory in your webroot?
Yep, although it is empty. I tried putting a sample page there to see if it made any difference, but, no, still got the same "1" page on downloads...
There is a dlreq.zip at http://mysticbbs.com/downloads/prealpha that
might help but I couldn't say since I have not tried that.
Hoping g00r00 can clarify if something else is needed. =)
I'm not sure just how that works. I wonder if there is anything in the whatsnew.txt? I'll be watching for any replies you get on this subject.

Sorry, no, I haven't heard back on this specific issue from g00r00 yet.
Also there appears to be a problem with my posts to this echo (g00r00 doesn't receive them, neither does his uplink, for unknown reason).
But hopefully he sees your message and will respond here in the echo.
That's a confounding issue. g00r00's uplink (154/10) is listed in the seenbys as I get your message here. I'll include the kludges below.
g00r00 did reply to me with info about that to me a short time ago and I was hoping you saw that message. I'll look for that message and repost
it for you in a few minutes.

Thanks a lot!
Wondering if my messages are trigging some dupe checks or something.
:-D

Yeah, I'm not sure what is going on there.

Can you (and/or others) by chance post me one or more of Bjorn's original messages with kludges included, please? It may not help much but at least I can take a look at the paths they are taking to get to systems other than myself. Netmail would be fine as to not disrupt the echo.
Another thing that baffles me is that I'm fairly certain I have multiple feeds >to this echo. So I should be getting the original from at least *one* of those
systems while the rest would be duped.
Makes me wonder if someone else is adding my system to the seenbys early on which would mark the message as a dupe every time it arrives here. With that said, there is not a single message from Bjorn in my dupe base either.
I did send a message on my uplink's BBS to let them know but I haven't logged back in yet to see if he got it. Its just a hobby for all of us so I don't expect instant response but I am sure he'll get to it eventually.
Hopefully its just a technical accident and not someone in zone 2 intentially filtering MYSTIC messages again.

If your node is in the seenbys then connected nodes would not send you
any more copies since it appears the message already went to your
node.
Anyway, you should see a few netmail replies of messages from Bjorn shortly.
