    Hey folks,

    I've been a bbs user for a long time but now, finally, working toward
    launching my own board. It's been a long time coming, but now that a few
    days have passed since I started a VM and got initial configuration
    past, I'm now realizing that I have much to learn.

    Hope that I can get some advice as I go along. I will be reading
    through the newsgroup as well as the echoes.

    I used to be a daily user of digitaldistortionbbs. After a few years of
    that, I've been on Bottomless Abyss hanging in MRC.

    The last few months, I've been creating some scripts that'll be used to supplement my board as I build it up.

    Creating ANSI is also quite time consuming since I have the artistic
    talent of an art school flunkie.

    Anyhoo, that's it for now.

    That's awesome to hear, I hope you enjoy it. I have been enjoying it for quite a few years now. :)

    By all means, if you have questions post them. There are many here who well help you along, if we can.

    I was a big time BBS user myself. I don't get much time to step away from my own BBS but I have been known to look up different BBSs at times.

    I am much the same. I love the look that some have done with ansi. While I understand ansi and how to use it, I am not artist in any way and can't create ansi screens myself.
