• bbs.synchro.net (Win7-32 nodes) offline for time-being

I updated to Windows 10, version 1511 (Build 10586) - catchy name there, eh? Anyway, it hosed my Hyper-V virtual switch/LAN adapter configuration. It took me quite a while just to get NETBIOS name resolutions working enough to get vert.synchro.net (the Windows 10-64) nodes up and working (nvspbind to the rescue) and that'll have to do for now (my VMs are currently offline).

I'm not sure what it is about updating Windows versions, but when I upgraded this system from Windows 8.1 to 10 something similar happened with a Hyper-V virtual device (I think it was a virtual serial port) which caused my VMs to not run and that took some reconfiguration to get past. And now this hassle. :-(

So I took some time and managed to fix (re-install) the Hyper-V Virtual Switch and now my Win7-32 VM (for bbs.synchro.net) is up and working again.

I also re-rolled LORD, TW2002, GWAR, and FoodFight. So if you want to play these old DOS DOOR games, you can now again at bbs.synchro.net.
