Ever Imagine you are working for a company that is going bankrupt, but >everyone you work with and your bosses are getting pay raises. Seem
absurd?

Well: Where the BOSSES of companies going bankrupt are getting hugely
obscene pay-raises is pretty much SOP these days; and has been for
several decades now. The people we work-with? THEY get pay-cuts and layoffs.
Also, you're giving pay-scales for *executives*, not "everyone you
work with". Any time there are layoffs or pay-cuts, you know darned
good and well any executive is going to lay off those UNDER him, not
himself.
So ... The workers get fired or pay-cuts, while all of the executives
remain at the same salaries. Guess who does all the REAL work? Guess
who gets blamed for "lack of productivity" in the company? Guess why
the business is going down the crapper?
"Too many chiefs; and not enough indians."
An age-old problem.
